UN should intervene by declaring Balochistan a war zone, BNM demonstration in London
London: BNM held a protest demonstration in London on Wednesday 18 May 2022 outside the British Prime Minister's residence. The purpose of the demonstration was to record a protest against the illegal arrest of Noorjan Baloch by Pakistani forces in Hoshaap, who was later produced in a court and charged with fake and baseless FIRs and again the forcible disappearances of Baloch students and their racial profiling in different universities of Punjab.
A large number of BNM workers participated in the demonstration. Protesters were holding placards about the ongoing Pakistani barbarism and human rights violations in Balochistan. The protesters were addressed by the BNM’s Central Junior Joint Secretary Hassan Dost Baloch, Member of Central Committee Niaz Baloch, Mehnaz Baloch and Master Manzoor Baloch.
While addressing, the speakers strongly condemned the extrajudicial arrest of Noorjan Baloch in Hoshaap Balochistan and said that today in Balochistan, the state of Pakistan is violating all the laws of war. Which are a humiliation of humanity and a violation of basic human rights and international laws. The state of Pakistan has been arresting and disappearing women in Balochistan for a long time. Today, Baloch women are being tortured along with men in Pakistani torture cells and recently Pakistan intensified this practice.
Speakers said that today the enemy is humiliating Baloch women by justifying it as retaliation after the actions of Banuk Sharai Baloch and trying its best to threaten all Baloch men and women. From Zarina Marri to the hundreds of Baloch women who were abducted and forcibly disappeared, were they also abducted in a reaction to any action? the answer is no. It's a state policy to terrorise the Baloch masses.
This proves that Pakistan is facing defeat on all fronts. They stooped so low to such immoral tactics to cover up their defeat and blackmail the Baloch Sarmchars so that the Baloch nation step back from their national liberation movement. But the Baloch have decided that they will overcome all the state atrocities and free themselves from the chains of slavery.
The speakers urged the United Nations, EU, International human rights bodies and the international community to take urgent actions against Pakistani atrocities and intervene in Balochistan. Today the Pakistan Army and its backed death squads are openly involved in the Baloch genocide and violating all international human rights laws and principles. It is the responsibility of the United Nations to intervene in Balochistan and declare it a war zone.
