BNM Netherland protests on June 26, International Day in the Support of the Victims of Torture
AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS: The Netherlands Chapter of the Baloch National Movement held a protest in Amsterdam Dam Square on Sunday, June 26, on the occasion of International Day in Support of Victims of Torture and International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
Protesters were holding banners, placards, and pictures of Baloch enforced disappeared persons and chanted slogans against Pakistani atrocities.
Jamal Baloch, Media Coordinator of Paank the BNM Human Rights Department addressed in demonstration.
He said that Pakistan occupied our homeland at gunpoint but the Baloch nation started the struggle against Pakistani occupation from the very beginning which is still going on today. Pakistan is “committing other crimes including genocide” to crush the Baloch national movement.
He said that the purpose of the demonstration was to tell the world that the people of Balochistan were being oppressed. The resistance from Baloch rejected Pakistan's claim that the Baloch nation had voluntarily joined Pakistan.
He added: “The resistance is continue till date . To suppress this resistance, the Baloch are being forcibly disappeared and extrajudicially killed.”
