Mashkay: Pakistani army looted and set fire to all the houses in Gajjali village. Dr. Murad Baloch

Dr. Murad Baloch, Secretary-General of the Baloch National Movement, said in a statement that the Pakistani army had set fire to the houses of all the people of Gajjali village in Mashkay after looting them. They were forcibly relocated by the Pakistani army in September last year. Most of them were forced to live in an open camp near the Pakistani army’s main camp in Jebri. These people are still living in huts near the same camp.

He said that there were more than 170 families in Gajjali. After the forced relocation, their homes, livestock, wheat stocks and other necessities of life remained. After evicting them, the Pakistani army turned their homes into a gigantic camp. Two days ago, the Pakistani army evacuated the camp, but before the evacuation, they looted the remaining equipment from the homes of more than 170 people and set all the houses on fire. There are many such instances in Balochistan. From this, the brutality and ruthlessness of the Pakistani army can be well estimated.

Dr. Murad Baloch said that the source of livelihood of these families was only rainfed land ownership and herding. Now the army has taken away all means of livelihood from them and made them prisoners. In this way, they are being forced to near military camps and away from their homeland for the rest of their life.
