Dil Murad Baloch, Central Information Secretary of the Baloch National Movement, while releasing a detailed report of March 2021, said that in the month of March, the Pakistan Army detained and disappeared 75 people including women, in 77 military operations and raids across Balochistan. Seven people were killed, dozens of houses were set on fire and more than 50 cattle were looted. Twenty-eight (28) people were released from Pakistani army’s secret prisons. Two missing persons have been surfaced but are being held in different jails. Five of the dead were in the custody of the army while two others were targeted and shot dead by the Pakistani army.
Dil Murad Baloch said: “Pakistani army is violating human rights in Balochistan. The widespread Baloch genocide is intensifying in each passing day. The activists in Baloch national liberation movement have been subjected to collective punishment.”
He added, “Relatives of the activists are being tortured. Under this policy, Pakistan is trying to dissuade the Baloch nation from the freedom movement, but the history of nations has shown that alive nations cannot be subjugated by such brutality and terrorism.”
He said that there was a complete media blackout in Balochistan. International media was banned from entering Balochistan. “It is the duty of the representatives of the international media to expose this illegal policy of Pakistan to the world so that the world is aware of the ongoing state terrorism in Balochistan. All international human rights bodies, including the United Nations, are ignoring their core responsibilities and providing more opportunities to Pakistan.” Concluded he.
