BNM March 2022 Report: 62 went missing, 19 killed in more than 50 military operations: Dil Murad


Dil Murad Baloch, Central Information Secretary of Baloch National Movement, released the detailed report of March 2022, according to which military barbarism continued across Balochistan in the month of March. In more than fifty (50) military operations and raids, nineteen (19) people were killed and sixty two (62) went missing. Sixteen (16) of the nineteen (19) were killed in clashes and attacks with the army, while two were killed by the army’s death squad. The motive for the killing of one person could not be ascertained. Five (5) people were rescued and three (3) people were brought to the surface. Among them are Hafeez Baloch, a missing student from Khuzdar and Hafeez Ahmed son of Washdil, Khalil Ahmed son of Washdil from Kech.

Dil Murad Baloch said that in the month of March, the Pakistani army killed two detainees and dumped their bodies. Abdul Wahid son of Dad Mohammad was abducted and disappeared on October 9, 2021 while Mohammad Iqbal son of Mohammad Yaqub was taken into custody by the Pakistani army from Hub on May 29, 2021 on his way to Karachi from Khuzdar and disappeared.

Military brutality continued in most parts of Balochistan including Kalat, Sibi, Dhadar, Sunni Shoran, Nagaoo, Ispilinji, Johan, Narmuk, Jhaoo, Kech, Dasht, Kolwah and Mashkai. In most of villages of Jhaoo, the army tortured the entire population under collective punishment, most of them are in critical condition.

He said that on one hand there are atrocities of Pakistan Regular Army in Balochistan and on the other hand the barbarism of army-backed death squads is continue. In recent months, a new form of brutality in the shape of CTD has emerged. The lives of ordinary and unarmed people have been made miserable. The Pakistan Army is directly engaged in Baloch genocide and collective punishment. The atrocities of its facilitator, CTD and death squads are also continue with same intensity.
