Arundhati Roy's statement regarding Pakistan is a joke with historical facts. Khalil Baloch

Chairman of the Baloch National Movement, Khalil Baloch, reacted strongly to the statement of India's renowned writer, intellectual and civil society activist Arundhati Roy, that Arundhati Roy had tried to veil the Pakistani army's barbarism by distorting facts about Pakistan. This is to distort history.

Chairman Khalil Baloch said that Arundhati Roy says that "Pakistan has never used the army against civilians", it was astonishing to hear how a female writer claims to spread the truth could be so ignorant? Did not the massacre of millions of Bengalis come before their eyes? For the past two decades, what Roy will name the Pakistani military naked aggression in Balochistan, Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh?

Raising the question, Chairman Khalil Baloch questioned whether Arundhati Roy is unaware of

the fact that Pakistan's regular army is engaged in the Baloch genocide in Balochistan. For the past two decades, the Pakistani Army has been using not only continuous bomber jets and gunship helicopters in Balochistan but also chemical weapons on various occasions. By making this statement, Arundhati Roy has not only ridiculed the history but also has tried to apply salt on the wounds of thousands of martyrs’ families who are the victim of the brutality of the Pakistani army.

He said that Arundhati Roy may differ on matters of his country or any global issue or any other point of view. It is her right but to prove her opinion on contradictory views or to veil Pakistan's apparent war crimes by comparative analysis, is intellectual dishonesty. We are disappointed and shocked by the unexpected and factually distorted statement of Roy's opinion. For the past two decades, we have been constantly asking the people who have influenced the international opinion to raise the barbarity of Pakistani military and intelligence agencies in Balochistan. A major human tragedy has been born in Balochistan and humanity is suffocating here.

Chairman Khalil Baloch said that it was the duty of the people influencing the public opinion to voice the Baloch genocide and agains the occupation of our homeland so that the brutality and oppression on the Baloch nation would become an international opinion against Pakistan. We have had great success in this. Today, prominent figures are aware of the facts and voices are raised, but when Arundhati Roy's statement came to light, it was surprising how she distorted the reality trying to cover up Pakistan's war crimes. I hope that she will apologize for distorting the facts by reviewing his statement.
