Protests and conferences held in Geneva highlighting Baloch issue and other oppressed nations'
Ex-Chairperson of BSO-Azad Banuk Karima Baloch and European Convener of BNM Dr Naseem Baloch attended protests and conferences in Geneve, Switzerland during the 39th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).
On 19th September a conference held in United Nations organized by World Sindhi Congress (WSC) attended by Banuk Karima Baloch and Dr Naseem Baloch as speakers. They said that since forceful occupation of Balochistan by Pakistani army in 1948, the Baloch people are struggling to regain their sovereign country. In response Pakistan is using brutal force to crush this movement. Thousands of Baloch people are disappeared and killed in military operations or in custody.
The same day a protest was held by PTM. Human Rights activist Mama Qadeer Baloch, Banuk Karima Baloch and Dr Naseem joined the protest.
On 20th September a protest held by the World Sindhi Congress (WSC) at Broken Chair in front of the United Nations office. The protest was joined by Dr Naseem Baloch and Banuk Karima Baloch along with Kashmiri and Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement's (PTM) leaders.
Banuk Karima Baloch addressed the gathering and said that the Human Rights situation worsening day by day in Balochistan, Sindh and Pashtunistan. She said that several issues including extra-judicial killing, enforced abduction and killing of religious minorities continue unabated. We Baloch are living on our homeland since thousands of years but the colonizer Pakistan has started a campaign to eradicate Baloch nation from the face of earth.
Baloch leaders talked to the participants in protests and conferences that previously Pakistani army was abducting Baloch male political and human rights activists, journalists, professors, doctors and others from all walk of field but now now they are also abducting and disappearing Baloch women and children and keeping them in torture cells.
